Juninho is the best no doubt about it, over 30 goals from free kicks and he can score them from all different angles and distances. Beckham on the other hand needs them more in certain areas.

What about Van hooijdonk in his prime? He won feyenoord the UEFA Cup just by his freekicks. He was on 50% that season. 1 in every 2 were goals. Didn't matter where the ball was lying.

After a quick research I found out that it's happened only twice in brazilian football history.

Marcos Assunção scored a free kick hat trick in 1998. At the time he was playing for Santos. Not so long ago he was the best fk taker in the world. Before him a player called Lula scored a free kick hat trick in 1947. What a Face

IMO Beckham is the best assister from free kicks in the world, but IMO overall Juninho is better than him.

The best free kick taker I've ever seen is Marcelinho Carioca, a good midfielder that played for Corinthians between 94-01. I will try to find out how many fk goals he has scored, but I'm pretty sure that no one has scored more fk goals than him.

Beckham at his best is the best free kick taker in the world. As he got older he has had a bad back, which means it was harder for him to take them how he used to it. He can still take great free kicks, but as an actual shot cannot get the power and bend like he did before.

Andrea Pirlo deserves a shout. At one point last season, he was scoring free-kicks for fun. Some could argue that he was instrumental in Milan taking the lead during this year's CL Final.
