| Galatasaray AŞ were crowned Turkish Super League champions for the second time in three years thanks to a 2-0 home win against Gençlerbirliği Oftaşspor at the Ali Sami Yen Stadium.
Comfortable win Galatasaray were three points clear of rivals Fenerbahçe SK going into the final round of matches and knew that a single point would be good enough to claim the title. Nine minutes before the interval the celebrations could begin as Hakan Şükür touched in Arda Turan's cross from the right wing and, just before the half-time whistle was blown, left-back Hakan Balta fired in with a magnificent long-range strike to double Galatasaray's the lead.
Fenerbahçe fall As it transpired, the success was unnecessary as Fenerbahçe had to be satisfied with finishing second after losing 2-0 away to Trabzonspor thanks to goals from Ibrahima Yattara and Umut Bulut. Beşiktaş JK ended the campaign in third place, and won the right to represent Turkey in next season's UEFA Cup, following their 5-1 win over already-relegated Vestel Manisaspor. Mert Nobre, İbrahim Kaş (2) and Ali Tandoğan all scored in the opening ten minutes with Filip Holosko adding a late fifth.
History makers Elsewhere, Sivasspor marked their highest finish in Super League history by completing the season in fourth after overcoming Gençlerbirliği SK 2-0 in Ankara through Sezer Badur and Musa Aydın efforts. Their campaign has ensured they have qualified for European competition for the first time in their history and they will take their place in the UEFA Intertoto Cup next season.

| Read about this earlier today...well done. Must be a nice feeling after Fener's success in the CL this season.
Also bucks the trend of most European leagues seeing their champions successfully defend their titles. |

A couple of things interest me about Gala - maybe you can help.
Cassio Lincoln - has he been good for u and are his set-pieces as good as they were for Schalke ?
Ahmed Barusso - I saw him play for Rimini a couple of times and was impressed, has he been any good for you and will you be signing him permanently ?
Shabani Nonda - always liked him, has he done well ?
...and finally - are u still linked with Chevanton at all ?
There often seems to be comments from gala fans on YouTube pleading with him to join ! |

| I remember when Galatasaray were a team to be feared by all, especially in 'hell'.
It will be good to see them in next season's Champions League. Many teams will want to avoid them
I've heard good things about the following players:
Calik Serkan - The German apparently has good technique and energy.
Turan Arda - Again, I've read that he's a good winger with plenty of technique |

of course, i can help you
Lincoln: Yes, he has been good for us BUT he injured frequently during the season. We hope that he will be beneficial at the next season...
Barusso: he hardly ever plays since he has come the team..Nobody, who is fan, don't know that he will be in the future!
Nonda: Anaconda We likes him.Especially he have been loved after he scored to Fener at the derby. He will continue with us.
Chevanton sometimes, especially in the transfer seasons, seem headline of papers but he never be first option for galatasaray fans. _________________
